What are COB LED strips?
COB technology involves LEDs directly mounted on a substrate and coated with a phosphor layer, resulting in a uniform light output - without visible "dots".
Advantages of COB LED
- Continuous line effect without deep profile and masking cover
- Uniform light without a point character
- Compact, perfect for narrow profiles
Disadvantages of COB LED
- Slightly lower light efficiency than SMD at the same power
- More expensive than basic SMD strips
- Less flexible - cutting every few cm, not mm
Is it worth it?
If you value minimalist, uniform light, especially in decorative projects - definitely yes. COB is a standard for future-oriented elegant space design.
