How many diodes per meter are needed for uniform light? LED strip comparison.

A continuous line of light is not just a matter of aesthetics, but also technique. One of the key parameters is the number of LEDs per meter. Check what density will provide the best effect and what else is worth knowing when choosing a strip.

Why does LED density matter?

The more LEDs per meter, the smaller the gaps and the point-like character of the light is less visible. With too low density, even a deep profile won't hide the gaps between the LEDs.

What else to consider?

  • Brightness (lm/m): High density doesn't always mean high light output – compare lumens.
  • Power Consumption: More dense strips consume more energy – calculate the power supply accordingly.
  • Strip Quality: PCB material and LEDs affect uniformity – invest in products from well-known manufacturers.
